Staying Focused: Organization and Life Coaching

What does Staying Focused actually mean and involve?
I think it’s best to start by discussing what we are Staying Focused with. You have decided to seek professional help in achieving your dreams. There will be many meetings with your Life Coach, assignments to complete, reading to do and motivation to keep up. So which task are we staying focused on? The quick answer is all of them, at all times. “But that’s not possible” you may say, when in fact it is, and the process by which we do it is very simple.
That’s it in a nutshell. We need to organize our time so that we are regularly reviewing our tasks and completion of them. We should review them before, after and during the actual work, as well as later on down the line.
There are so many ways to stay organized and on task today. There is the old school daily agenda, your smartphone apps, and specialized computer software. So there really is no excuse for not keeping on top of it all.
During the process of organizing your tasks, it’s very important if you can find somewhere quiet, where you can hear your own thoughts and sort yourself out. Also, a nice comforting beverage never hurts. Snacking is also ok if it’s healthy. Remember, the body needs the right type of fuel to be work-ready. Drink plenty of water and take regular breaks and reread what you have accomplished.
And finally, reward yourself for any jobs well done. Pamper yourself, and be your biggest cheerleader. Always remember to have fun. Work shouldn’t be so hard that we stop having fun!
